2018 Bouchard Père & Fils, Beaune Rouge
This Beaune red comes from five parcels, located in the prolongation of the famous Clos des Mouches and above the Aigrots. The clay-limestone sub-soil, with a predominance of clay, well suits the Pinot Noir which expresses itself here with richness, softness and refinement. A delicate bouquet of red fruit combines with a pleasant touch of oak. Rich, tender and refined on the palate.
2018 Bouchard Père & Fils, Beaune Les Avaux 1er Cru
The name of Les Avaux comes from the lieu-dit "Vaux". Its steep-sloped and clay-limestone sub-soil contributes to the racy elegance of this Premier Cru.
2018 Bouchard Père & Fils, Beaune Les Teurons 1er Cru
Situated near the town of Beaune, between "Les Grèves" and the "Clos de la Mousse", "Les Teurons" is a vineyard situated on a hillock and famous for its class and harmony.
"The 2018 Beaune Les Teurons 1er Cru comes from a southeast-facing limestone parcel that produces naturally low yields. It has a ripe, slightly confit-like bouquet with touches of fig and date infusing the black cherry and strawberry fruit. The medium-bodied palate features sappy black fruit." - Vinous 87-89 pts
2018 Bouchard Père & Fils, Beaune Les Marconnets 1er Cru
Bouchard Père & Fils has owned vineyards here since 1791 and today harvests from 2.32 hectares situated at the northernmost point of the territory of Beaune. The layers of grey, marly chalk give this Premier Cru distinction, character, elegance and bouquet. Fruit aromas combine with a musky note and a delicate oaky hint on the nose. Firm and well-built, this wine is both full-bodied and elegant, giving it all its personality. Good ageing potential.
2018 Bouchard Père & Fils, Beaune Clos de la Mousse 1er Cru
The wine comes from a 3.36-hectare terraced monopole with a Southeast exposure.

This is a signature wine from Bouchard Père et Fils and from the very best part of Beaune Grèves. The vineyard has been under Bouchard ownership (monopole) for more than 100 years.
"Ripe and brooding aromas speak of poached plum, spice and plenty of freshly turned earth scents. The medium-bodied flavors possess good delineation and an attractive mouthfeel before terminating in a lingering, youthfully austere and mouth coating finish that is shaped by a firmly tannic spine. This slightly warm effort is a big and very serious Beaune that is going to require plenty of time to arrive at its full apogee. Worth checking out." - Allen Meadows 92 pts
