"Decanter tasting, with the 2009. This 2010 is very rich, with a nose that is more floral and leafy than the 2009. Black cherry, blackcurrant, coffee. Dense palate, stone minerals, rather tight and savoury which provides a nice sense of tension with the juicy fruit. Mouthfeel is smooth, with bright acidity. It's a big wine, but it retains an attractive St Julien elegance. Two great vintages. I've a slight preference for the 2009, but then that's often the case when I compare these two years."
